David Peters wins back-to-back US Poker Open titles
Back-to-back tournament wins this month earns David Peters two consecutive overall titles in the high stakes US Poker Open series.
The US Poker Open from PokerGO is a series of events with a leaderboard culminating in the Golden Eagle trophy for the most consistent player.
And you do not get more consistent than David Peters. He won the Golden Eagle trophy in 2019 at this series and he has done it again this year.
Given that COVID meant there was no 2020 event, that makes him a back-to-back US Poker Open champion.
He got there by winning three tournaments this year. The $10,000 No Limit event for $217,800, the $10,000 Short Deck event for $124,200 and the $25,000 No Limit event for $465,750.
Sean WInter won the $50,000 Main Event of the series for $756,000 which gave him 484 leaderboard points, but Peters dominated the series with 646 points overall.
A real quiet man at the table it is easy to forget how dominant he has been in world poker for a number of years now. The 34-year-old now is ranked 7th on the All Time Money list with $34,570,489 in career earnings and a bulging trophy cabinet to boot.
